After being elected a permanent member of the UN Security Council (UNSC) for the first time, Modi is set to address the UNESC session. This is the first time Modi's speech will be heard at the UNSC.

The Prime Minister will deliver a keynote address at the United Nations in New York from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (local time).

He will address a joint session with the Prime Minister of Norway and the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.

The annual high-level department convenes a divided group of representatives from the government, the private sector, and the academy's civil society level.

The theme of this year's high-level division is "Multilateral after Covid-19: What kind of UN do we need on the 75th anniversary to show the way forward?"

 Set against the changing  international environment in the aftermath of the COVID-19 epidemic, the session will focus on critical forces driving multilateralism and explore ways to strengthen global leadership, expand participation through effective international organizations, and encourage global action through global significance. Encourage national public goods.
