Visakhapatnam : Eleven people were killed when a large crane collapsed at Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) in the Andhra Pradesh city of Visakhapatnam on Saturday morning.
Two years ago, the Mumbai-based Anupam Crane Company operated the 70-tonne crane, which was undergoing load testing at the time of the crash.

Visakhapatnam District Collector V Binoy Chand said HSL has redistributed crane activities to the Greenfield Company, which has co-operated with Lead Engineers and Quad Company to assist.
"Earlier today, they were testing the crane's capacity when the base part and the overhead lodge were dismantled and the crane was dismantled. .
Authorities said HSL launched a request when the government and parallel investigations began with permission from the administration.
