Krishna Janmashtami 2020 Ceremony : The introduction of Lord Krishna, accepted as the eighth symbol of Lord Vishnu, is an annual Hindu festival celebrated as Janmashtami or Gokshulashtami. It is commonly seen on the Ashtami or Ashtami of Krishna Paksha in the period of Shravan or Bhadrapada.

According to the Hindu convention, Krishna is accepted to have been conceived in Mathura at 12 PM on the eighth day of the Bhadrapada month. Following his introduction to the world, his dad Vasudeva took youthful Krishna over the Yamuna stream to spare him from uncle King Kansa and offered him to his temporary parents in Gokul, Nanda and Yashoda. Legend goes that Kansa's sister Devaki's eighth child was forecasted to murder the unfeeling lord. So Kansa secured Devaki and Vasudeva in the jail and began murdering their children individually until Krishna was conceived.
