Dellhi Police Special Cell arrest Journalist Rajiv Sharma was coming to Chinese intelligence officials with sensitive defense and tactical information.  From 2016 to 2018,


  New Delhi: Journalist Rajiv Sharma was coming to Chinese intelligence officials with sensitive defense and tactical information.  From 2016 to 2018, he was arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police on charges of smuggling sensitive defense and strategic documents to Chinese intelligence officials and meeting with MSS agents in several places in different countries.

  Special Cell Delhi Police DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said in a statement that two of his associates, a Chinese woman and a Nepali man, had set up a company in Mahipalpur, from where they exported drugs to China and the money received through Beijing's shell companies was paid through agents.


  “According to the investigation, there have been transactions of Rs 40-45 lakh in the last one year,” the DCP said.


  Money was transacted through shell companies

  Sharma, who was produced in court on September 15, was remanded in police custody for six days, the judge said.

 

  The Delhi Police Special Cell said Sharma, a resident of Pitampura in New Delhi, was "caught smuggling some classified defense documents".
