Actor Akshay Kumar sent a defamation notice to a YouTuber. The YouTuber showed him involved in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The actor has filed a defamation suit worth Rs 500 crore against YouTuber Rashid Siddiqui. Earlier, police had also arrested Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aditya Thackeray
in connection with the case for spreading fake news.
Published by Mid-Day, Siddiqui alleged in his YouTube videos that "Akshay helped accused Riya Chakraborty to flee to Canada and also talked secretly with Uddhav and Aditya about the death of SSR". YouTuber also said that MS Dhoni: The Untold Story made actor Sushant dissatisfied.
The daily revealed that Siddiqui had earned Rs 15 lakh in four months for his content in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The 25-year-old is a civil engineer from Bihar and owns a YouTube channel called FF News.
Advocate Dharmendra Mishra, a Shiv Sena legal adviser, has filed a case against YouTuber. Police found out in the investigation that he used the SSR death case to increase his followers and conspire to make money by spreading fake news. His YouTube channel has grown a lot in the last few months and now his number of subscribers has increased from 1 lakh to about 3 lakh 70 thousand.
Siddiqui earned Rs 296 in May and in September, he earned a total of Rs 6,50,898 including his videos. The court granted him anticipatory bail and directed him to cooperate with the police in the investigation.
