PM Modi graces Ayurveda Day 2020 event and dedicates ITRA, Jamnagar and NIA, Jaipur to the Nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate two Ayurveda institutes in Rajasthan and Gujarat on Friday, the fifth day of Ayurveda.

Prime Minister Modi congratulated on the occasion and wrote on Twitter, "Happy Ayurveda Day. On this special day I will inaugurate two Ayurveda institutes in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The program will start at 10.30 am. Look!"
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Institute of Ayurveda Teaching and Research (ITRA) in Jamnagar, Gujarat and the National Ayurveda (NIA) in Jaipur, Rajasthan, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office on Thursday.
The statement added that these institutions are expected to play a "global leadership role" in the growth and development of Ayurveda in the 21st century.
This year’s celebration will shed useful light on the potential role of Ayurveda in preventing the Covid-19 epidemic.
Ayurveda Day has been observed on November 13, 2016 in memory of the wealthy woman who is revered as the god of traditional Indian medicine.
