Oxford Vaccine COVID-19 Approved for India by Expert Group:

The Oxford COVID-19 vaccine, manufactured by the Serum Institute in India, has been approved by a government-appointed body and submitted to the Indian Drug Control Agency (DCGI) for approval.


The Indian Serum Institute (SII) develops the covshield vaccine developed by Oxford University and the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, and India has partnered with the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) for biotech covacin.


 

Both groups gave presentations to panels on Wednesday. Pfizer needs more time to present its data.
