Rafale fighter jets took part in the first ‘Sky-Fly’-Parade, as did T-90 tanks seen on the highway. The Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet also flew. The model of West Bengal's 'Green Companion' caught the eye of the Republic's parade in Delhi.

 

 

This is the first time since Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh became separate Union Territories that Ladakh's tablo took part in the Republic Parade. This year Bangladesh is celebrating 50 years of the liberation war of 1971. On that occasion, the parade of the army of the neighboring country was also observed for the first time in the Republic Day parade of India. There were 122 soldiers in that parade.




After nearly two decades, new warplanes have been added to the Indian Air Force. India has bought 36 Rafale jets from France. Eight of them came from the Air Force. That raffle took part in the Republic Parade for the first time. This warplane showed the cycle exhibition in the sky. A total of 38 Air Force aircraft, including warplanes and helicopters, were present at the parade. There were also 4 infantry aircraft. The exhibition also featured light combat aircraft 'Tejas', indigenous technology anti-tank guided missiles 'Dhruvastra', light combat helicopters and Sukhoi-30MKI.




The infantry also took part in the T-90 Bhishma tank, the infantry combat vehicle BMP-2-Sarath, the mobile launch pad for launching the BrahMos missile, the multilancher rocket system Pinaka and the electronic warfare system Sambijay. The model of the warship 'INS Bikrant' was on display in the navy. INS Bikrant played an important role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.


A total of 32 tables were set up on the capital's highways on Tuesday. Of these, 6 were from the Ministry of Defense. There were 9 tabloids from other ministries and paramilitaries. A total of 17 states, including the States and Union Territories, took part in the Republic Parade.
