Taipei, March 15: China has begun building a new helicopter base in Fujian province aimed at crushing Taiwan,

  A Taiwanese military expert showed satellite images.  Ho Cheng-hui was quoted by Taiwanese news website pourquoi.tw as saying that the base was previously unknown.

  He added that it could be seen as a product of Jin Jinping's "desperate efforts to resolve the Taiwan issue and expand the People's Liberation Army's (PLA) combat capability."  Taiwan wants 'international alliance' to stop threatening China;  Which is the timeline of the historic Taipei-Beijing division.

 

  Ho suggested that the base would pose another challenge to existing international discipline and that it would disrupt the defense of the first U.S. island chain and "even directly challenge the U.S. military." 

 He said the site would be capable of carrying more military aircraft, Taiwan News reported.

 

  The satellite image was posted on Twitter by an open-source detective analyst who was walking through the handle of that detractor.  On Thursday (March 11), he posted two satellite images that he described as a "new heliport" in Zhangpu County, Fujian Province.

 

  In a black and white photo on the left, clearly showing an isolated apron and runway, he shows his estimated 1,700-meter area, as well as an area for the administrative building.

 

  A color on the right, a close-up photo shows 10 helipads, a runway and at least three helicopters already on the tarmac.  He estimates the runway is 600 meters long and has 27 hangars for aircraft.

 

  Open source intelligence analyst told Taiwan News that based on his observations, work on the project began in July 2019, which included clearing vegetation and moving the earth.

 

  He suggested that based on its strategic location, it would be able to develop both military and naval operations and make surveillance of Taiwan's seas readily available.  Military expert Ho Cheng-hui said that in addition to the base's helicopters, the battlefield aircraft would travel over the waters and airspace of southwestern Taiwan and the Dongsha Islands, and the estimated runway length would be sufficient for patrolling.

 

  “These all act as a threat and stress,” Ho said.  Beijing claims complete sovereignty over Taiwan, a democracy of about 24 million people, originally located on China's southeastern coast, although both sides have ruled separately for more than seven decades.

 

  Taipei, on the other hand, has fought Chinese aggression by increasing strategic ties with democracies, including the United States, which has repeatedly clashed with Beijing.

 

  In recent months, China has stepped up military activity in and around Taiwan. 

 According to China, this is a response to the "partnership" between Taipei and Washington, Taiwan's main international supporter and arms supplier, CNN reported.

 

  Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping has already clarified his intentions about Taiwan because he has promised never to allow the island to become independent and has refused to use force if necessary.
