Jhargram and Bankura: After the road show in Kharagpur yesterday, today Amit Shah's mission is Jangalmahal.

Amit Shah will hold a public meeting at Circus Maidan in Jhargram at 11 am.  The meeting will be attended by BJP candidates from Jhargram, Nayagram, Binpur, Gopiballavpur - four assembly constituencies in the district.

Then Amit Shah will go to Bankura.  His election meeting was held at 1 pm on the eve of Ranibandh Assembly.  The meeting will be attended by BJP leaders including BJP candidate Khudiram Tudu from Ranibandh.  After the meeting, Amit Shah will leave for Guwahati.

Amit Shah arrived in the state for the first time yesterday after the announcement of the vote.  Amit Shah gave the message of united BJP at the road show in Kharagpur.  Dilip Ghosh was next to the Union Home Minister in a car and Hiran Chatterjee, a newcomer to the vacant seat.

The Union Home Minister and former All India President of the BJP said that the crowd was saying that the people of Bengal had decided to change.  When will everyone vote for Modiji while waiting for the vote.

In the 2016 assembly polls, Dilip Ghosh won from Kharagpur Sadar constituency and became a MLA, defeating five-time Congress MLA Gyansingh Sohan Pal and becoming the BJP's state president.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Dilip Ghosh was elected MP from Medinipur Lok Sabha constituency.  In the by-elections, the Kharagpur seat was lost to the BJP and went to the Trinamool Congress.  The BJP has fielded actor Hiran Chatterjee in Kharagpur Sadar constituency in the Ekushey polls.
