 551 PSA Oxygen Production Plants to be set up through PM Cares Fund to improve public health system across the country

 Oxygen production plants will be set up in government hospitals in all the district headquarters of the country

 These plants will be commissioned as soon as possible PM Modi

 Oxygen plants will ensure uninterrupted supply of oxygen to various hospitals in the district headquarters

 Funding from the PMCares fund for the creation of 551 PSA (Pressure Change Adoption Medical Oxygen Generation Plants) was approved in principle to ensure an increase in the hospital's oxygen supply. The decision was made on the orders of the Prime Minister.  

The Prime Minister directed that these plants should be commissioned as soon as possible.  He said these plants would play an important role in oxygen availability in the district.

 These plants will be set up in government hospitals identified at the district headquarters of the State and Union Territories.  It will be collected through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

 In the interest of public health, earlier this year, Tk 201.58 crore was allocated from the PMCares fund for setting up an additional 182 PSA Medical Oxygen Generation Plants in the country.

 The main objective of setting up PSA Oxygen Generation Plant in the Government Hospital at the district headquarters is to further strengthen the public health infrastructure and maintain the oxygen production system in these hospitals. 

 This national captive oxygen generation system will not only meet the daily medical oxygen needs of the district but also these hospitals.  Also Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) will act as a “top up” on captive oxygen production.  

Such far-reaching measures will ensure that the oxygen supply to government hospitals in the districts is not suddenly interrupted and ensure adequate uninterrupted supply of oxygen to patients other than Covid-19 patients.
