Bill Gates co - founder of Microsoft would separating with his wife Melinda Gates after 27 years

 In a tweet on Tuesday, Bill Gates announced that he and his wife Melinda Gates would separating  after 27 years.

                                      

For the past 27 years, we've raised three incredible children and started a foundation that works around the world,Bill Gates

 The financial implications are unclear, but they will continue to work together at the Gates Foundation, said the co-founder and former Microsoft CEO. 

With a lot of thought and work in our relationship, we made the decision to end our marriage.

 We continue to share the belief in this mission and will continue to work together at the Foundation, but we no longer believe that we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives. and privacy for our family as we begin to find our way in this new life, "said a joint statement by Melinda and Bill Gates.

The couple created the Giving Pledge, a movement of philanthropists who advocate for the most part to give his wealth for philanthropy or charity, either during his lifetime or at his will.

The Financial Impact The joint statement announcing their separation does not disclose the financial impact of Gates' separation. Bill Gates owns 1.37 percent of Microsoft's outstanding shares, valued at more than $ 26 billion.

 He retired from the company's board of directors last year and devoted more time. at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as a COVID-19 pandemic is structuring the world. The foundation has more than $ 51 billion in net worth, CNBC reported.
