The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly, was given a separate house isolation test after his brother and Cricket Association of Bengal secretary Snehasish tested positive for coronovirus. Kovid-19 showed symptoms a month after he was infected by Senashish's wife and mother-in-law.

The test was conducted at a private pathological laboratory in Kolkata on Wednesday and the results have now come out positive, though they are preparing for more tests soon.

All his family members including Sourav will be kept under observation / home quarantine on the basis of COVID suspicion. Sourav Ganguly is said to have moved to the ancestral home of Snehashish's family in Behala after several people were infected with the virus at his former Mominpur home.

Senhashish has tasted Covid Positive

"Senhashish has been suffering from fever for the last few days and his test report has come positive today. He was admitted to Bellevue Hospital, ”a CAB official told PTI.

“These reports came in the evening. According to health protocol, Sourav will also have to stay in the home quarantine for a certain period of time, ”said a source close to the BCCI president.

A report claims that Sourav celebrated his birthday with all the members of his family on July 8. Doctors are not ruling out the risk of infection from there. Now, he will be in isolation for 10 days.

Rumors of a Snehashish virus infection surfaced last month, but he denied being infected at the time.

"I am completely healthy and working every day," he told the newspaper. The reports about my illness are baseless and not expected at this time of trial, "Snehashish said in a statement issued by CAB on June 20." That rumor is circulating. "

There are currently 32,838 confirmed coronavirus centers in West Bengal of which 11,927 are still active. Recently, the Kolkata Police also asked the Cricket Association of Bengal to set up a temporary quarantine center at Eden Gardens to combat the virus outbreak in the state.
