Bangladesh Police Arrest Indian JMB Fimale Wing Member

                                     

                              

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) branch of the Bangladesh Police on Friday arrested a 25-year-old Indian girl from Sadarghat on charges of belonging to the new Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). In the women's branch of JMB, she was given the responsibility to recruit young women from both countries.

Kolkata : TheBangladesh Police's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) branch on Friday arrested a 25-year-old Indian girl from Sadarghat on charges of belonging to the Neo-Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). She was given the responsibility of recruiting young girls in the women's branch of JMB.

 The teenager was identified as Ayesha Jannat Mohana. He is an Indian citizen according to CTTC officials. He has an Indian passport.

“A team of CTTC officials raided Sadarghat and arrested Ayesha Jannat Mohona. He was arrested in an earlier case registered at Motijheel police station. According to CTCC Assistant Commissioner of Police SK Momin Hussain, he was produced in court and remanded in police custody for four days.

A preliminary investigation by CTTC officials revealed that Ayesha was a resident of Hooghly district in Bengal. A resident of Keshabpur village under Dhaniyakhali police station has been identified.

"Ayesha Pragya Debnath was born as a Hindu in 2009 and converted to Islam. She has been actively involved in online religious work since then," he said.

During her online religious education, she came in contact with Asma Khatoon, the head of the Jamaat Mahila Wing and was actively involved in Ayesha New JMB Women's Wing from 2009 to 2016.

“In addition to raising funds for the banned terrorist organization, she was tasked with recruiting young girls, especially for a branch outside India. In fact, in a few months, he hired some people. We are going to examine all angles, ”said a senior CTTC official.

CTTC officials will question him for the next four days to arrest his associates.

Since Ayesha made her first trip to Bangladesh from West Bengal in 2016, she has traveled to Bangladesh several times. She even bought a fake Bangladeshi birth certificate and a fake Bangladeshi national identity card.

In 2012, she moved permanently to Bangladesh and began working as a teacher in a local madrasa, where young students were radicalized and recruited. Later that year, he married a Bangladeshi citizen outside Oman.

When the police arrested Asma Khatun, they stopped her with cunning. Immediately, she quit the job at the madrasa and started focusing on online recruitment for the new JMB women's wing.
