West Bengal Own Report -  Flag hoisting incident on Independence Day caused a commotion in Daulatchak area of ​​Khanakul in Hooghly district of West Bengal.


 Sudarshan Pramanik, a BJP activist from Booth No. 245 in Khankul Assembly, was brutally killed by TMC supporters while hoisting the Independence Day flag.  Sarjit Samanta, general secretary of the local council, is fighting to the death with serious injuries.



 The BJP has once again accused the ruling party of political terrorism in the state.  , BJP activist Sudarshan Pramanik of Booth No. 245 of Khankul Assembly was brutally killed by TMC supporters while hoisting the Independence Day flag.  .


   The incident took place at Daulatchak Saju Ghat in Khankul No. 2 block.  BJP activists said leaders and activists were hoisting the national flag in the area when miscreants suddenly attacked their cadre.  Two people were seriously injured in the incident.  When they were taken to the Natibpur Block Primary Health Center, doctors declared Sudarshan dead.



  The incident caused panic and tension in the area.  The BJP had blocked the road for a long time with the body at the spot.  BJP Arambagh president Biman Ghosh went to the spot.  He claimed that it was the miscreants who supported TMC who killed Sudarshan.  He warned that the entire area of ​​Khanakul would be cordoned off if the culprits were not arrested within the next 12 hours.


   Police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Arambagh Sub-Divisional Hospital for autopsy.  Ha Palli Police Superintendent Tathagata Basu said the killings took place over a dispute over hoisting the flag on Independence Day.  The deceased was a BJP member.  Eight people involved in the incident have so far been arrested.  Police are looking for others.


   TMC has denied the allegations.  Party president, Hooghly district, Dilip Yadav said the news of the killing was painful to bear and the TMC did not support any political assassination.
