New Delhi- India and ASEAN countries have agreed to review the FTA to make it more user-friendly, convenient and convenient.  The review will facilitate and modernize ASEAN-India trade in the Goods Agreement (AITIGA) with the practice of contemporary trade facilitation and an orderly customs and regulatory approach.


 Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goel, who co-chaired the ASEAN-India Economic Ministers 'consultation, said during the 17th ASEAN-India Economic Ministers' Co-Presiding Council that free trade agreements must be mutually beneficial and a win-win situation for all parties.



 He stressed the need to strengthen key rules and regulations in the region, remove duty-free barriers and enter improved markets.  Mr Goel emphasized that India and ASEAN share strong friendship and strong ties with historical, cultural and traditional ties.  He emphasized that the relationship would continue to grow for the prosperity of India and the ASEAN countries.


 The meeting of India and ASEAN countries was attended by trade ministers from 10 ASEAN countries who pledged to take concerted action to mitigate the impact of the global epidemic on the economy.
