In India, where Paytm, one of India's largest startups and the largest digital payment service launched, Google has now temporarily shut down Paytm from its Google Play Store.  A report from TechCrunch said Paytm Google was "repeatedly violating" Google's Play Store application rules policy.  Paytm's Facebook app has been suspended from the Play Store after the matter came to Google's notice.  Paytm is one of the largest giant companies in India in terms of users and transactions.  And it is also an all-India valuable startup.  Paytm's applications that have come under suspension include Paytm First Sports betting service, a seemingly uncontrolled gambling and online casino that violates Google's app policy under Indian law.

Paytm's response to this, at the time of publication, the company did not make a detailed statement about the suspension of its marquee application from the Google Play Store on Android.  But Paytm issued a statement on Twitter saying "the app will return to the Google Play Store soon."

It's worth noting that other apps like Paytm Money and Paytm Mall are still live on the Google Play Store.  Android makers have simply discontinued the flagship Paytm application, which is essentially for most users to transfer money, as well as use it as a digital wallet or for Paytm's UPI interface for cashless transactions.

Google has warned apps related to online gambling, including various apps such as Hotstar, Disney, etc., to ban online gambling before IPL cricket by declaring online gambling illegal under Indian law.
