The death of a 20-year-old girl in the second week of brutal gang-rape and torture in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, has sparked condemnation and protests across the country.
The woman died this morning. She was admitted to the ICU of a hospital in Delhi. He has multiple bruises on his body; As a result of the horrible way in which she was tortured by four men in her village, the woman did this.

Following his death this morning, social media has been flooded with tweets seeking justice for the incident.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi condemned the crime, saying, "Law and order in the state has deteriorated drastically. Emphasizing on the protection of women," she tagged UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, calling for harsher punishment for the culprits.
“You are responsible for the protection of women in UP,” she said.
The Uttar Pradesh Congress on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Congress tagged the National Commission for Women with the hashtag Hathras asking "Who are you (are you?)".
Mr Yadav tweeted, "There is no hope from this sensitive government."
Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also called for severe punishment for the culprits, calling them "incidents that have gone beyond all bounds of cruelty."
Actor Swara Bhaskar called the crime "shameful" and said, "Another Nirvana has given him his last breath today."
Congress leader Alka Lamba sneered at Union Minister Smriti Irani and the NCW, saying it was a "small matter" for them and that they "would not waste time talking about it."
Ms Lamba reiterated that she blamed Y-plus security for the protection of actor Kangana Ranaut, the Center as well as the BJP government ruling Uttar Pradesh.
"They are busy getting Kangana's justice, please don't bother," Mrs. Lamba tweeted.
Kangana Ranaut also tweeted: "What a sad and shameful day for this country. Shame on us for failing our daughters."
The incident took place on September 14 when criminals attacked the woman in the village of Hatras in Uttar Pradesh. He was dragged into the field with his dupatta, where he was tortured.
He had a fracture in his neck which was causing breathing problems. He bit her tongue while trying to suffocate her in this attack which resulted in the tongue being cut off.
The woman belonged to the Scheduled Tribes, the accused were upper caste people. They are all in jail.
The woman's family has complained about the inefficiency of the Uttar Pradesh police. Initially, they complained about not getting help
