Kevadia (Gujarat): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today slammed the opposition parties over last year's Pulwama attack on Rastriya Ekta Dibash, saying on the occasion of the 145th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity, Kevadia, Gujarat.  It exposed the real face of the opposition in the country's parliament. "

  The Prime Minister was speaking on the occasion of the 145th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of Unity Day at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat.

  In February this year, on the first anniversary of the attack, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi targeted the BJP, blaming the ruling party for the "security breach" and asking, "Who has benefited the most from the attack?"  Mr Gandhi wanted to know more about the outcome of the investigation into the attack.

  

  The Pulwama attack and the Indian Air Force's counter-airstrikes in the weeks leading up to last year's Lok Sabha elections sparked political speculation over a statement made by the government expressing a tough policy against terrorism, which the party repeatedly raised during the election campaign.

 On Thursday, Pakistani Minister Fawad Chowdhury said: "Humane Hindustan Ko Ghosh Ke Mar (We hit India at their home)."  He later claimed in various media outlets that his statement had been "misinterpreted".  "Pakistan does not allow any terrorism, I was misinterpreted,"

 A day later, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar called on Congress to "apologize to the country" for its "conspiracy theory" and comments on the incident.

  Meanwhile, in the second leg of his two-day visit to his home state today, Prime Minister Modi has said he will attend several more events in Gujarat.

  Later in the morning, the Prime Minister Modi addressed the Civil Service Providers.  He will then inaugurate the service from Kevadia to Sabarmati Riverfront and back by sea.
