Pune: Incidentally, the adjective honesty is the only rational one instead of the adjectives that are startling and surprising.

A Pune resident who went to Clining during Diwali threw away an old purse so that he was able to recover the lost bag along with jewelery worth Rs three lakh.

While cleaning her Diwali, a woman from Pune named Rekha Selukar threw an old handbag at the garbage collection van.

A few hours later when he realized his mistake, his family contacted the PCMC health officials who took him to the dumping yard.

An employee of the PCMC health department searched for the valuable bag, dumping 18 tons of dirt.

After an hour-long search by Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) staff, they were able to recover his bag along with valuables inside.

According to an article in the Pune Mirror, the bag contained a gold chain worth about Rs 3 lakh and some rings.

The woman enlisted the help of a local social worker who reported the matter to a team from the PCMC's health department.

An employee of the health department voluntarily searched for the bag and returned it to the owners.
