The fire broke out at the Covid-designated Shivananda Hospital in Rajkot, Gujarat on Friday. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Six people were killed in a hospital fire in Gujarat's Rajkot city on Friday morning. The first fire broke out in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Shivananda Hospital in Rajkot.
Since Shivananda is a coronavirus-prescribed hospital with medical facilities, there were 11 patients in the ICU at the time of the incident. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, according to local authorities where the fire started from the ICU.
The Rajkot fire department was able to control the fire and all the patients were shifted to another hospital.
According to preliminary information, several patients were seriously injured in the fire at Shivananda Hospital in Rajkot on Friday.
