KABUL [Afghanistan], Nov 9 (ANI / Sputnik): A car bomb blast in Kandahar, Afghanistan's second-largest city, has killed several people, including civilians, local sources told Sputnik on Monday.
The blast took place at the Shahra Battalion (Shahra Kandak) in Kandahar's Maiwand district late Sunday night, local security sources told Sputnik, adding that there were several casualties among both military and civilian parties.
A source at Mirwais Hospital in Kandahar told Sputnik that 24 people, including 13 police officers and 11 civilians, were injured in the blast.

The source said there were at least four deaths: one child, two women and one man.
Witnesses told Sputnik that the blast destroyed several shops and houses and that some people may still be trapped under the rubble.
Earlier on Monday, a Kandahar police spokesman said three soldiers had been injured in the attack.
So far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange.
