After Janata Dal-United chief Nitish Kumar was elected chief minister of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) legislature party Bihar, it was announced that Bihar would have two deputy chief ministers.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs Tarakishore Prasad and Renu Devi are likely to be nominated as the new deputy CM of the state, the report said.
After Nitish Kumar was elected as the Chief Minister of Bihar, it was announced that there would be two Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar.
According to reports, senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi will resign from the post of Deputy CM. It remains to be seen what position he will be given in Nitish Kumar's cabinet.
Earlier in the day, the NDA legislature party held a meeting at Nitish Kumar's residence in Patna. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was present at the meeting.
The assembly party Nitish was unanimously elected as the Chief Minister of Bihar and he will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar on Monday.
Kumar met Governor Fagu Chauhan in Bihar to demand the formation of an NDA government.
Kumar left Patna Raj Bhavan for the swearing-in ceremony at 4.30 pm on Monday.
Asked whether former deputy chief minister Sushil Modi would take part in Nitish Kumar's new cabinet, the JD (U) chief said he had not taken a final decision.
