 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a video conference on Thursday to lay the foundation stone for the campus of the upcoming All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences in Rajkot, Gujarat. The campus covers an area of ​​over 200 hectares near the village of Kanderi on the outskirts of Rajkot at a cost of 1,195 crowns.

     

Earlier, AIIMS Deputy Director Rajkot Shramdip Sinha said that Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani and Deputy Prime Minister Nitin Patel had to attend the construction site during the laying of the foundation stone.

Central PSU HSCC Limited is building a campus and drawings of nine buildings have been approved in advance.

AIIMS Rajkot's first group academic session of 50 MBBS students started on December 21 from their temporary campus at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Medical College.

The event was opened by CM Rupani with Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and State Health Minister Ashwin Chaubei, who attended the event via video conference.

At that time, Vardhan had said that AIIMS Rajkot was part of the sixth phase of Pradhan Mantri Swastha Suraksha Yojana and would have 750 beds with a special and very special section.

Later there will be 125 MBBS and 60 treatment centers.
