At least four people were injured after a massive fire broke out in a neighborhood where LPG cylinder were stored on the outskirts of Andheri town on Wednesday morning.

The fire started at around 10:10 am due to a cylinder explosion in the waist located on Yari Street in the Versova area on the western outskirts.

Four people were injured and taken to the nearby Cooper Hospital, an official said. More than 15 fire engines and water jets were brought to the scene, he said, adding that fire fighting was still ongoing.

The area has been evacuated.
