During the event, Defense Minister Rajnat Singh thanked show attendees, including when India demonstrated its military capabilities with its Rafale aircraft and BrahMos missiles.

Speaking during the event he opened, Singh said, "Despite the restrictions caused by the global pandemic, I am delighted to see so many attendees at this year's event. It comes from the world's top military and aerospace nations: Defense Minister Rajnat. Singh in Aero India in Bengaluru. "

Events starting today will run until February 5.
The government has also formally signed a 48,000 rupee contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd for 83 Tejas light combat aircraft. This is the largest defense procurement program to date.

The agreement was signed between the Ministry of Defense and HAL.
Meanwhile, the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile is shown. The Indian Navy will launch missiles as part of its next generation naval defense battery role. The Rafale was also on display, as were the air-to-surface missiles from the Israel Elbit Rampage System.

In light of the pandemic, reports suggest that the Covid-19 RT-PCR test is mandatory for mega-event attendance.
DRDO is expected to showcase India's latest defense technologies including the Tejas Light Aircraft (LCA), LCA Navy and Early Warning and Control System (AEW & C).
The event is one of the largest in Asia.
