New Delhi: The BJP finally released its list of candidates for 57 of the 60 seats in the first two rounds of voting on Saturday evening. What is special about the list published in the first phase.

The full list of Trinamool Congress candidates for the state assembly was released on Friday. Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee announced the names of 291 candidates of the party at her home in Kalighat.
The remaining three seats were vacated by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha. After the publication of the Trinamool Congress candidate list, the list of candidates of the Left Front and the first two rounds was published. After that, the top leadership of the BJP discussed the publication of the list of candidates.
On Friday night, the BJP state leadership was informed by the party's top leadership that the party's first round of list of candidates was to be released after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brigade meeting on Sunday.
