West Bengal:

Big Breaking Al Qaeda militants were caught again.  The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested suspected al-Qaeda terrorist Shamim Ansari from Jalangi in West Bengal's Murshidabad district.  Al-Qaeda network is growing in West Bengal and other states and 10 more al-Qaeda militants have been arrested in a week in the ongoing investigation by the NIA.

On September 19, the NIA arrested nine suspected al-Qaeda militants - six from Murshidabad district in Bengal and three from Ernakulam district in Kerala.  NI's big success again in just 8 days.

A statement from the NIA said al-Qaeda's soft targets were "important installations in India".

"The group planned to carry out terrorist attacks on important installations in India with the aim of killing innocent people and instilling fear of terrorism in their minds. Accordingly, the NIA registered a case under RC-31/2020 / NIA / DIL on 11.09.2020 and launched an investigation," the statement read.

According to officials, a large quantity of materials including digital devices, documents, jihadi literature, sharp weapons, indigenous firearms, locally made body armor, homemade explosive devices and materials used to make them were seized.

According to a preliminary investigation conducted by the NIA, these individuals were inspired by Pakistan-based al-Qaeda militants and learned the lessons of extremism on social media.  Their primary goal was to carry out attacks in multiple areas, including the national capital.

Murshid Hasan, Ayyakub Biswas and Mosaraf Hossain have been arrested from Kerala.

The six arrested from West Bengal are Nazmus Shakib, Abu Sufian, Moinul Mandal, Liu Ian Ahmed, Al Mamun Kamal and Atiqur Rehman.
