Man Died in Helicopter Crash in Azamgarh UP

  One of the two died and one was taken to hospital, locals said.

 

  LUCKNOW: One person was killed and another injured in a helicopter crash in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh at 11:30 am on Monday.  The four-seater helicopter had only two people on board.  The injured were rushed to a hospital, locals said.

  After reviewing the situation, Azamgarh police reached the spot in Sanjaypur area of ​​Azamgarh city.  The locals were the first to crash site.  This helicopter used to train pilots after it crashed in an agricultural field.

  According to PTI sources, the helicopter belongs to the Indira Gandhi State Park Academy (IGRU), a center-operated aviation training institute in Amethi.

  Authorities are also investigating the cause of the crash.  For now, the police's focus is on protecting the wreckage of the crashed helicopter.

  Relief and rescue work is underway.
