As part of the Self-Reliance India project package, an investment of Rs. 20,050 crore will be made in all the States / UTs for a period of 5 years from FY 2020-21 to FY 2024-25. 20,050 crore under PMMSY is the highest ever in the fisheries sector. The money will be spent in two phases - about Rs 12,340 crore for facilities-based activities in marine, inland fisheries and aquaculture and about Rs 7,710 crore for fisheries infrastructure.
