Kolkata- Special Announcement The Government of West Bengal has decided to cancel the statewide lockdown on September 12, 2020, due to the NEET 2020 exam. State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the decision today. The entrance test with net or national qualification will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020. To help the students, the West Bengal government also announced to provide special metro service in Kolkata on the day of NEET examination.
GoWB had initially announced a statewide lockdown on Sep 11th & 12th. Considering the NEET 2020 examination scheduled on 13th, we have received numerous requests from the student community on lifting lockdown norms on 12th, helping ease their travel to examination centres. (1/2)

Keeping their interest in mind, while keeping the statewide lockdown as it is on Sep 11th, it has been decided to cancel the lockdown on 12th, so that the students can attend the examination on 13th without any apprehensions or concerns. I wish them all the very best. (2/2)

15. 67 from all over the country. Millions of candidates have applied for the Knit 2020 exam. The test will be held on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
Students have to travel from remote areas to the nearest examination centers.
As such, many students will be present at their respective test center locations before the exam. To make it easier for NEET candidates, Indian Railways is running 23 special trains for NEET students. Kolkata Metro will provide special services for students on exam day.
