 Parrish/ SPUTNIC: French President Emmanuel Macron has convened a meeting of the Defense Council following the deadly attack on a history teacher in the city of Paris, BFMTV sources said.


  "Islamists in France will not sleep in peace. Fear will change," Macron told the meeting on Sunday.


  According to BFMTV, from Monday, the authors of 60 posts on social media will be checked to find out who was supporting the attacker.  On Sunday, thousands of people demonstrated across France in solidarity with a French teacher outside a school near Paris.  .  Hundreds of people protested peacefully with white roses at schools on Saturday, demanding peace.



  On Friday night, a history teacher, later identified as 47-year-old Samuel Patty, was attacked and beheaded by an 18-year-old Chechen refugee.  The attack came after Patty showed her students a caricature of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad at a school in the Confl -nes-sante-onerin, northwest of Paris.


  The assassin, identified as Abdullah Anzorov, was shot dead by French police shortly after the attack.


  Eleven people, including four members of the attacker's family, have been detained as part of the current investigation, according to French media reports.

  Sergei Parinov, a spokesman for Russia's embassy in France, told Sputnik on Saturday that the suspect had been living in France with his family since 2008.


  According to Parinov, the attacker received a residential permit after reaching the age of 18.


  According to French anti-terrorism prosecutor Jean-Franোois Ricard, the suspect was born in Moscow in 2002, was of Chechen descent and was granted refugee status in France.


  On Saturday, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov called on French investigators not to investigate the attack. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov condemned the attack on French investigators, urging them not to "search for Chechens."
