  The project was inaugurated by Union Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Deputy CM Dushayant Singh Chautala, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

  On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the "Svamitava" project was a huge step towards rural India self-reliance and a step towards self-reliance.  Prime Minister Modi exchanged views with the beneficiaries of the Svamitva project.  He was joined by Union Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Deputy CM Dushayant Singh Chautala, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan.


  These are the main points of his speech:


   Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Svamitva scheme will bring historic change in rural areas.  This is a special opportunity for me as several villagers have joined me to launch this project.  "


  He said that the Svamitva project would help rural India to contribute to the country's drive for self-reliance.


  • Modi said that the Svamitva scheme was launched, on the birth anniversaries of Jayaprakash Narayan and Nanji Deshmukh, showing commitment at the Center to make their vision of building a self-reliant rural India a reality.


  • Modi said, “Rural people need to have access to papers that prove ownership of their land.  The project is aimed at resolving disputes over property ownership among villagers across India.  The Svamitva project will ensure that these divisions are minimized.  "



  • Prime Minister Modi further said that if the villagers fight over land ownership, they will not get a chance to do anything better for themselves.


   He further mentioned that the use of new drones for mapping would help in creating improved rural infrastructure.

Prime Minister Modi said that in the last six years, the NDA government has worked hard for the empowerment of the rural population.  However, previous governments did not do their utmost to remove middlemen and corruption from the rural administration.  He said corruption would be removed for the rural administration but it could affect the votebank.


 

 • Prime Minister Modi also criticized the opposition's stance against the agriculture law.  He said people protected by intermediaries have or will have problems with reform.
