James Bond actor Shawn Connery BAFTA Award winner dies at 90
Sir Shawn Connery, an Academy Award winner and two-time BAFTA winner, breathed his last on Saturday (October 31) at the age of 90. Connery was the first actor to play the fictional spy 'James Bond' in the film, famous for his James Bond character.
Connery Bond starred in seven films in the Spy Thriller franchise (from Dr. No you only live twice each film, Diamonds Forever and Never Say Never Never Again).
In 1998, he won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Untouchables. Some of his notable films include Murder on Orient Express (1974), Highlander (1986), India Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), and Dragonheart (1996).
Connery has often been nominated for a Hall of Fame in Western cinema. She was knighted by the Queen of the United Kingdom at the Hollywood Palace during the 2000th New Year's Eve celebrations for her services to film dramas.
