During the nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus in New Delhi, Delhi Police personnel were on guard at the Bengali market, and an encounter took place in Delhi.
New Delhi: Five suspected assassins encounter with Dellhi police in the Shakarpur area of East Delhi. Police later arrested five people and it is suspected that some of them may have joined the terrorist group, officials said Monday.
Two of the arrested were from Punjab and three from Kashmir.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Promod Singh Kushwaha said, "We have arrested five people after the exchange of fire. Weapons and other criminal items have also been recovered from them."
While it is suspected that some have links to terrorist groups, it is a verification process and, he added, further investigations are ongoing.
