Chhattisgarh: Mortal remains of a jawan of CRPF's CoBRA battalion who lost his life in an encounter with Maoist in Sukma yesterday brought to Jagdalpur. (ANI)

 Bijapur Superintendent of Police Kamalcharan Kashyap said 22 soldiers were killed in the Maoist attack. 30 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

  A team went in the forest of Terram to find 21 missing people. According to the information received so far, the bodies of 14 people were recovered from there. The death toll in a gun battle with the Maoists in Chhattisgarh stood at 22. It is reported that more jawans are still missing.

 My thoughts are with the families of those martyred while fighting Maoists in Chhattisgarh. The sacrifices of the brave martyrs will never be forgotten. May the injured recover at the earliest.

 Incidentally, security forces fired shots at the Maoists inside the jungles in Chhattisgarh, India. Encounter after encounter continues. Bijapur and Sukma districts were agitated over the incident. The whole area is cordoned off. But when the sound of gunfire stopped, 21 soldiers could not be found. The incident happened on Saturday.

 I bow to the sacrifices of our brave security personnel martyred while fighting Maoists in Chhattisgarh. Nation will never forget their valor. My condolences are with their families. We will continue our fight against these enemies of peace & progress. May injured recover soon.
