The aid (BHC) is being used by the Government of India (GOI) to provide vital medical treatment to people suffering from COVID-19 in India.

                                   

UK Health and Social Care has worked closely with the National Health Service (NHS) as well as suppliers and manufacturers in the UK to identify reserve recovery equipment that can be shipped to India

 More than 600 vital medical medical equipment  being shipped to India to help the country fight COVID-19, the British High Commission (BHC) said on Sunday. 


A statement from BHC reported that the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office-funded aid package included ventilators and oxygen concentrators from surplus supplies.


 The aid is being used by the Government of India (GOI) to provide vital medical treatment to people suffering from COVID-19 in India. 



UK Health and Social Care has worked closely with the National Health Service (NHS) as well as suppliers and manufacturers in the UK to identify reserve recovery equipment that can be shipped to India


Cases and deaths since the start of the pandemic and severe oxygen starvation.


 Following discussions with the Indian government, the first shipment of equipment will leave the UK today and arrive in New Delhi earlier this year. “A total of nine air tanks filled with supplies, including 495 oxygen concentrators, 120 non-invasive ventilators and 20 manual ventilators, will be sent into the country.” 



This team will be instrumental in saving the lives of the most vulnerable people in India.For example, oxygen concentrators can remove oxygen from the air in the atmosphere so that it can be delivered to patients, thereby relieving the pressure on the hospital oxygen systems and delivering oxygen in situations where the hospital's oxygen supply is depleted,




 "the BHC statement added The High Commission said the UK is working closely with the Indian government to identify further aid it can provide in the coming days.
