The country is also aiming to produce 15.6 crore doses of the Russian Covid vaccine. Dr. Reddys Laboratories is the Indian partner of the Russian vaccine. "Production will begin in July and it is estimated that 15.6 million cans will be made during that period.

" "Dr. VK Paul added. He also said that any Covid-19 vaccine approved by the FDA, the WHO, can come to India." The import license is issued within 1-2 days. There is no import license pending, "added Dr. VK Paul. More than 2 billion doses of vaccines will be available in India. 

More than 2 billion doses of novel coronavirus vaccines are expected to be available in India between August and December this year, the said Government adviser.

Those doses would include 750 million doses of the AstraZenecas vaccine, made in India by the Serum Institute of India, as well as 550 million doses of Covaxin, made by Bharat Biotech, government adviser Paul said.
