Rabindranath Tagore is mingling with the soul of Bengalis.

There is really no such feeling in human life that Ravi Tagore does not exist.

This year 25th Baishakh is the 160th birthday of the poet.

On the other hand, not to mention Rabindranath's majestic mother on World Mother's Day today -

Saradasundari Devi was the daughter of Ramnarayan Chowdhury of Dakshindihi village in Jessore.

Rabindranath Tagore's mother is Saradasundari Devi

Saradasundari Devi was the daughter of Ramnarayan Chowdhury of Dakshindihi village in Jessore.  It is not known exactly in what year he was born.  It is known that in March 1834, she married Debendranath Tagore, who was seventeen years old.  Saradasundari was six years old at the time of marriage.

Saradasundari was married in a very strange way.  This is known from the 'Smritikatha' of Jnandanandini Devi.

An uncle of Sardasundari Devi heard in Calcutta that a beautiful girl was being sought for Devendranath, the son of Dwarkanath.  He took Sarada to Thakurbari in Calcutta and married her.  His mother was not at home then.

Went to Ganga bath.  When he came home, he took the girl away without telling her and gave her in marriage. He rolled under a tree in the yard and started crying.  Then he fell there crying and died blind.

Sardadevi's father-in-law Dwarkanath was one of the richest men in Calcutta.  Therefore, it is possible to estimate the amount of pomp in the marriage.

Swami Debendranath was handsome and virtuous.  But soon after the birth of three sons, Debendranath's mind suddenly became monotonous.

One day he went out in a heavy rain for the purpose of meditating in solitude.  Sarada saw.  Saradasundari also wanted to go with her husband crying.

The wife took her husband's company without caring about Debendranath's hundreds of objections.  He took his three infant sons Dwijendranath, Satyendranath and Hemendranath with him.  Saradasundari was so stubborn.

But on the way news came that father Dwarkanath had died.  Leaving the journey unfinished, he had to return to Calcutta.

Devendranath's son mourned Dwarkanath according to the apocalyptic.  There was a storm of criticism.  As a result, separation of relatives. This separation is the cause of special emotional pain of Saradasundari.

At the time of Dwarkanath, Durga Puja and Jagadhatri Puja were performed in the Jorasanko Thakurbari.  Devendranath offered Jagadhatri Puja.  And during Durga Puja he would go out on a country tour.  No.

The fact that Saradasundari, a mother of fifteen, could not always pay attention to her children

The fact that Saradasundari, a mother of fifteen, could not always pay attention to her children, is quite clear from the memoirs of several members of the Thakurbari.

Saradasundari had fifteen children.  Rabindranath Tagore was his fourteenth child.  Sarada Devi was thirty-four years old at the time of Rabindranath's birth.

Rabindranath Tagore writes in an article about Ma Saradadevi - "We never found Ma, she used to stay in her house on the couch, play cards with her aunt. If we went there by chance, the servants would quickly remove us, as if we were a nuisance.  I don't know where else. That's why he didn't get a place in my literature. "

This indifference of Sarada Devi towards children was not from her mind, it was the established custom of the bondi house.  Sarala Devi Chowdhurani writes, "In the olden days, there was another fixed custom in Jorasanko.

Children were raised and nurtured in midwifery instead of motherhood."  Following this rule, little Robi also had to go from her mother's lap to the midwife's lap.  Rabithakur's midwife's name was 'Digambari' who was known as 'Digami'.
