 Mamata Banerjee will be sworn in as West Bengal Chief Minister for the third time at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.  The swearing-in ceremony will be relatively less formal during this coronavirus infection.  Leading political figures of the state have been invited for the swearing-in ceremony.

                           

 A government official said former state chief minister and CPM leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharya had been invited.  At the same time, an invitation letter has been sent to Biman Basu, a senior CPM leader in the state.

 Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and Congress leader Abdul Manna has also been invited.  Rethei did not invite other state chief ministers and diplomats to comment on the current coronavirus situation in the country, the official said on condition of anonymity.

 A Trinamool Congress leader said Mamata's swearing-in ceremony would be very simple and concise.  Only he will take the oath.

 According to Trinamool Congress sources, the swearing-in ceremony will be held at Rajbhave on Wednesday, May 5 at 10.45 am.

 Firhad Hamik and Prashant Kishore of Trinamool Congress will be present on the occasion.  BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been invited to the event.  After taking oath, Mamata Banerjee will go to Nabanna.

 Sources said that the Kolkata police would give him a guard of honor.  

The swearing-in ceremony will take place amid growing political violence.  Opposition parties have already spoken out against this.  Especially the BJP.  

The state has been in a frenzy since the results of the vote on terrorism were released.  Reports have already been summoned.  BJP's all-India president JP Nadda has spoken out.
