Friday is set to unveil a clear idea of ​​the recommendations on ‘ensuring adequate number of resources for fixed lines and mobile services’. The report said the use of 11-digit long mobile numbers was a part of it.

"This is a complete misinterpretation of the aforementioned recommendations. They did not recommend the Tri-11 digit number scheme for pret mobile services," the company said in a statement.

‘Indeed, according to TRAI, the country will continue to have 10-digit numbers for mobile services, and we have explicitly rejected the move to an 11-digit mobile number plan.

Among the suggestions offered by TRAI, it is suggested to give dialing prefix 0 when calling a mobile number from a certain stable number.

‘Dialing presentation for a particular type of call is not like increasing the number of digits in the telephone number. This change in the dialing pattern will create an additional 2544 million future resources for mobile services to meet future needs, ”it said.

It further mentions that in existing projects the dialing prefix 0 is mandatory when the Charging Area (SDCA) calls from a specific-line number to a specific-line number.

This dialing feature is also mandatory when calling a fixed line number from a mobile number. The current announcement is based on dialing recommendations.
