Bihar:

A horrific incident of police brutality took place in Munger, Bihar on Monday, leaving four people dead and several others injured.  The people have been demanding action against the accused police officers ever since.  After no action was taken against the culprits, the gate of the agitated crowd vandalized the SD office on Thursday and the SP office collapsed.


  In addition, two police vehicles were set on fire by mobs in the district.


  One policeman was injured in a shootout after a massive clash between police and people during the abandonment of the Durga idol in Bihar's Munger district on Monday evening.  One person was killed and several others were injured. 



  During the Durga Puja immersion, some anti-social persons started throwing stones which injured 20 policemen.  Someone in the crowd then opened fire, killing one.  The situation is under control, ”Munger Superintendent of Police Lipi Singh was quoted as saying by NDTV.


  Munger registered a minimum vote of 47.36% as soon as the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections was held on Wednesday.  Which was 52.24% of the 2015 Assembly vote.  A young man was killed and about 10 others were injured in the town of Munger, out of anger at the police and the anger, fear and resentment against the district administration when police opened fire, prompting several voters in the districts to organize the protest some distance from the polling station.


  According to the residents of the district, Bekapur, Sadipur, Lohapatti, Mayur Chowk, more than one and a half hundred people aged 12 to 28 are still missing.  The low turnout in the district is due to the police firing on them for abandoning idols.
