  U.S. Election 2020 Results Live Update: Trump fires Republican head of energy regulatory panel that supports carbon markets

  President Donald Trump fired the Republican head of the U.S. Energy Control Commission, Neil Chatterjee, on Twitter late Thursday night for promoting the use of the carbon market to combat climate change.  Chatterjee, a former chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, was appointed commissioner alongside Republican James Danny.  Chatterjee's term was due to end on June 30 next year.  If Democratic candidate Joe Biden becomes president, he will probably replace a Democratic FERC chair.  Danny said in a statement that Chatterjee had reached an agreement on a terminal for natural gas exports and "left its mark on the FERC by taking other steps to help secure our American energy independence."

  U.S. Election 2020 Results Live Update: Philadelphia Police Investigate Conspiracy Allegations of Attack on Counting Centers

  Philadelphia police said Friday they are investigating allegations of an attack on the Pennsylvania Convention Center in the city, where the U.S. presidential election vote count took place.  Local police received a tip about a Hummer truck with a man armed with firearms heading to the polling station late Thursday night, a Philadelphia police spokesman said in a statement via email.  The spokesman said police arrested the two and were driving their firearms and the Hummer truck about which they received the tip.  He added that police and the FBI are still investigating.  "The men admitted that the silver hammer was their vehicle, and an additional firearm was recovered from inside the hammer," the spokesman said in a statement.

  U.S. Election 2020 Results Live Updates: Georgia's Secretary of State has confirmed that the state will be recounted.

  NBC reports that Georgia's state will be recounted.  This was stated by the Secretary of State of Georgia at a press conference.  "There will be a count in Georgia ... we will get it right and we will defend the integrity of our election," he said.

 US Election 2020 Results Live Update: Biden as President after Pennsylvania Gains

  Democrat Joe Biden was on the verge of winning the presidency on Friday as he faced President Donald Trump's leadership on the critical battlefield of Georgia and Pennsylvania.  They elevated Biden to a more powerful position than the 270 electoral colleges needed to take over the White House.  In Pennsylvania, where Biden was leading Trump by nearly 7,000 votes, Americans were anxious for the third full day after the election as to who would lead them for the next four years.  The protracted process further raises the concerns of such a nation.  The racial and cultural divisions became clear during the heated campaign.

  Democrats can play such an important part in getting enough electoral votes to win the White House race.  Joe Biden has no plans to accept the election immediately after Donald Trump moves forward, a senior aide to the president said in a media report Friday.  According to the latest US media estimates, Biden is ahead of Trump in Georgia.  He has also taken the lead over Trump in Pennsylvania.  With the exception of Georgia and Pennsylvania, Trump is not getting any alternative states with 270 electoral votes, so the possibility of his re-election will depend on the development of the two main warring states.
