  The WHO added that the world must now be prepared for the next pandemic that could hit our planet, "We saw last year that countries with strong health emergency preparedness infrastructure were able to control and quickly control the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.


  The WHO aims to draft a treaty that empowers nations to respond to epidemics such as the corona virus.



  UN Under-Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed and the UNSDG Chair said, "We all recognize for the first time that this is a global development that urgently needs governments, communities and citizens to come together - and our UN teams to address the health, humanitarian and socio-economic needs."  Have taken steps together since.  In many ways, it is a response to global solidarity and the most vulnerable.  But much more needs to be done, faster. "
