Jammu: Pakistani troops opened fire at a forward post near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Punch district. A ceasefire violation and a Border Security Force (BSF) officer were martyred on Tuesday.
The firing from across the border in the Tarakundi area of Mendhar sector was 'undisclosed', BSF officials said in a statement.

Manzoor Ahmad Kohli, SHO Mender, said a BSF sub-inspector was killed by Pakistani troops in Punch.
He was associated with the 59th Battalion of the BSF. According to officials, the Indian military had a strict response to Pakistani gunfire.
