A new study has study that daily deaths in COVID -19 India  could peak at 5,600 on May 10, and that another 329,000 deaths are estimated between April 12 and August 1. 

It was conducted by the University of Washington's Institute of Health Metrics and Assessment (IHME), which published a summary on April 15 assessing the dire situation in the country and forecasting around 665,000 deaths for August this year.
