 24 Patients Allegedly Die in Karnataka Hospital Due to Oxygen Deficiency Chamarajanagar Oxygen Deficiency: 

                                 

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government ordered an investigation after 24 patients died in a government hospital on Sunday evening.

 Reportedly at the Chamarajanagar hospital after the oxygen supply was reduced.At least 144 patients are treated in the hospital. 

"My son was 75% recovered. If there had been an oxygen cylinder, he could have been saved," said Lokesh. Another relative, Rajanna, said she received an 911 call from her nephew at midnight.

 "He called me around noon to tell me there was no oxygen. Please see what you can do. When we got here right away, they didn't let us in. When we called again, there was no answer . He was gone. He died of lack of oxygen "23 of the 24 patients were treated for Covid.

The death report must be submitted to the government within three days. Pratap Simha said: "When the media made me aware of the lack of oxygen in the Chamarajnagar district last night, I contacted Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. MR Ravi myself and held a conference call with the relevant ADC. 

I contacted Southern Gas that evening and they provided me with 15 cylinders before we even gave the quota. Despite all this sad incident, Chamarajnagar is not a far away place. We believe it is part of us, part of their pain.

Dr. Karnataka's deputy minister Ashwathnarayan CN tweeted: The district has recorded a total of 11,928 cases of COVID-19 infections since the pandemic began in January 2020, and at least 167 people have died as a result of the virus since then.

The Secretary General of the Indian Congress Committee and Randeep Singh Surjewala, who is responsible for Karnataka, called for the Minister of Health to be arrested.

Several hospitals across the country have reported a lack of oxygen and many patients are losing their lives as a result. 37,733 new COVID have been reported -19 cases, 21,149 recoveries and 217 deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases in the state is 4,21,436 with 11,64,398 recoveries.
