As lawmakers sit to ensure the victory of President-elect Joe Biden, violent supporters of President Donald Trump have violated capital law in Washington.

Protestersoutside the building while the police members of Congress bar was hanging.
Mr Biden said it was a "rebellion" and that Mr Trump had released a video message urging supporters to return home.
A joint session of Congress has been adjourned to ensure Mr Biden's victory and he has been put on leave.
There were shootings in the building and at least one person was reported shot. One woman was in critical condition and several policemen were injured.
There was an armed clash at the door of the House of Representatives. Tear gas was also thrown.
The rioters marched in front of the building with the slogan "We want Trump" and a man was seen lifting the chair of the Senate president.
Washington police say it was clear that supporters used chemical incendiary force to enter.

After standing for several hours, Sergeant-at-Arms - the Senate's executive office - announced that the building was protected by law enforcement.

There are, however, very few signs that protesters are heeding Mr. Trump's call to go home, even though the mayor has announced a citywide curfew from 18:00 to 06:00 (23:00 to 11:00 GMT).
Mr. Trump recorded a video message on Twitter urging supporters to leave the Capitol, but Democrats continue to make futile claims that the election was rigged.
Mr Trump's spokeswoman, Clay McKenzie, tweeted that the National Guard was being deployed.
Army and police have also been deployed in neighboring states, and the FBI has been deployed to assist the Capitol Police.
Protests are also being reported in state legislatures across the country.
In the wake of Capitol Hill, armed police officers are keeping an eye on whether hundreds of loyal Trump supporters are gathering.
"We're not [explicit] antifa!" A man yells at the police, referring to Mr. Loose's "loose" anti-Trump activists.

The conviction here is that the election was stolen from President Trump, and that the building's interior lawyers should somehow be allowed to run for office.
There is no evidence that election officials certified the results and that the court brought allegations of fraud in the Trump campaign.

A joint session of Congress was held on November 3 to confirm Mr. Biden's electoral victory.
The process is usually brief and formal, but Republican lawmakers object to the outcome of the vote.

Mr. Trump also pressured Mr. Pence, who chaired the session for several days, to withhold the certificate of results.

But in a letter to Congress on Wednesday, Mr Pence said he did not have the unilateral authority to decide which electoral votes should be counted.
The protesters arrived at the Capitol from a "Save America Rally", where Mr Trump had urged them to support those legislators opposing Mr Biden's confirmation.
Mr Trump has not surrendered the 3 November political decision, more than once asserting extortion without giving any proof.

On Wednesday, he said again: "We will never surrender. We will never surrender."
